*SERVE New England, our regional fresh food outreach source for the Food Pantry, is in need of a freezer truck.  All are asked to collect sales receipts from any Shaw’s supermarket in New England and Star supermarkets in MA.  These supermarkets will donate 1% of purchase totals to SERVE, which in turn, will be used toward the purchase of a freezer truck.  Envelopes to hold tapes are located in the narthex and the undercroft bulletin board.

Women to Women Outreach -St.Mark's, Easton to The Church of The Redeemer, Biloxi, MS.


Following Hurricane Katrina the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts has partnered with The Church of The Redeemer in Biloxi, MS. Twice this church has been devastated by hurricanes, with Katrina wiping out all of the homes within two miles as well. St. Mark's wanted to take a more personal approach and began by developing a link between the women of the two churches. As a first step we invited all of the women of the Bristol Cluster, which includes St. Mark's, Easton, St. John the Evangelist, Mansfield, and St. John's, Taunton, to share in an evening of fellowship which we called "Girls Night Out With a Cause". Nine women were able to come together on the evening of June 23rd to share a meal, prayer, song and fun. We met at St. John's, Taunton for a potluck dinner and the money we would have spent going out to dinner will be sent to The Church of The Redeemer.In the future we plan to have other events.
